On November 1st the GCS Aquathon team participated in an Aquathon competition at the Rashid School for Boys! When we arrived at the school I was rather nervous as well as all of us I believe. As we were preparing our equipment we saw a bunch of very athletic schools walk in through the gate which really intimidated me. I saw some of my competitors which really gave me butterflies in my stomach. There were three age groups that raced in our school; the grade 6’s, Grade 7’s and grade 9’s. We had to complete the swim in the swimming pool and the run was a round a large field. We all found the track very confusing at first and it took us quite a while to finally understand, the toughest part on the course was running on the grass. It really slows you down! When I came to finish my race I was wrecked and I felt as if were going to collapse but I finished! I was enlightened to finish the race and everyone on the team I believe did excellent and we all went home proud. All of us will continue training for our next race in January where we are going to come home as
